Starting from the afternoon, water levels are expected to fall at most gauges, except at the Sûre gauges where water levels are still rising slightly.
At the Alzette gauges, the peak levels have been reached. During the rest of the day, water levels are also expected to fall at these gauges.
The gauges at Mersch, Ettelbruck/Alzette, and Diekirch are currently still within the “cote d’alerte” range. However, a drop below the “cote d’alerte” is expected in the coming hours.

Due to the heavy rainfall of the last few days and yesterday night, the water levels on the Moselle have risen until the morning.
The maximum water levels at the Stadtbredimus gauge were reached this morning around 510 cm. Water levels on the Moselle have been falling again since midday. The water level will continue to fall for the rest of the day and a new rise can currently be ruled out.
